JITEN THUKRAL and SUMIR TAGRA work so collaboratively, they finish each others sentences. Their work is about India's contemporary culture.
Some of the themes include the accelerated change that India is undergoing, with malls popping up seemingly overnight activating a consumer culture India has never experienced before. The emigration of young Punjabi men leaving their families behind for the west, and an open discussion about sexuality promoting contraception which has been culturally taboo.
All of the work is in in a beautiful desirable pastel palette masterfully executed with their background as graphic designers. They are the "MURAKAMI" of India!
