Jack Lenor Larsen makes these fantastic textile confections informed by his extensive travels around the world. He plays with light, varying degrees of transparencies (L.A. curtains) and tactile textures (hairy fuzzy bedcover) with bountiful variations. His palette ranges from the most discreet neutrals to vibrant color while he explores an expansive vocabulary of technique and possibility. For me a constant and real source of delight. His fabric was commissioned for the lobby of the LEVER HOUSE as well as for Pan Am and Braniff, the first (now defunct) commercial airlines.
His home/LONGHOUSE reserve in East Hampton is so special it warrants a second post!
With love,
